I saw a tutorial on SCS last week for this cute pop up card and I had to try it. And wow, was it ever easy. I'm definitely going to make more cards like this. This card is for the latest challenge over at Southern Girls. The challenge is.......da da ta da....Dry Embossing. I was happy to do this challenge cause I just got me some new Tim Holtz embossing folders and was dieing to try them out. Oh..Oh did I mention that I'm gonna be taking a class from none other than that legendary TIM HOLTZ in March *insert squeal here*. I was so excited that I almost peed my pants when I found out my registration had gone through. I wonder if he is as excited about meeting me...LOL There are three people in the papercraft industry that I would love to meet. Those people are Tim Holtz, Suzanne Dean and Jennifer McGuire. One down, 2 to go....woohoo.
Anyhoo, on with the card. The image I used on this card is from Delightful Digitals, the International Sponsor for Southern Girls. It's called Loving Cherub. There aren't that many more details in the card except maybe for the Bricked embossing folder and I used the new BoBunny Valentine paper.

Well, it has been a long time, no post. The holidays kept me really busy but life is starting to get back to normal. Well, at least for a few days then I have card classes starting up again. I love teaching so classes are so worth the work it takes to put them together.
I have 2 cards to show you today so make sure you keep on scrollin' to the end. The challenge at Southern Girls this fortnight is "Totally Loved Up!!!" and they have 2 awesome Digi sponsors. I fell in love with both images and felt the need to play. The first image is from Pink Cat Studios who is one of my favorite stamp companies. It's called "Rex Ate the Valentines". When it came time for a sentiment for this card, I was going through my stamps and found one that said "Be my Valentine". I contemplated using that one but then I got to thinkin'. Rex is eating the valentines, Do I really want to be his valentine? lol So I whipped you this sentiment in Word and there you have it. I decided to make this one in blues and greens because, well, I have 2 boys in my life and I can't give them girlie girl valentines.
